In this playshop, we will explore the theory of loose parts and its importance to child development. Through hands on exploration, participants will consider the various types of loose parts and ways to offer them intentionally in play-based environments. Attention and focus will be given to creating safe conditions for using loose parts with learners with diverse needs. Participants will also have an opportunity to explore ways to scaffold loose parts to enrich learning experiences.
