Playing with Purpose
The goal of "Playing with Purpose", is to provide Early Years educators with practical strategies and tools to engage learners in authentic learning experiences in a French and English context. In these sessions we will explore the principles of loose parts, materials and the learning trajectories while making authentic connections to the learners lived experiences and literacy behaviours through an equitable and anti-oppressive lens. Educators will be provided with materials to deepen their understandings of invitations for learning as it relates to the diverse interests and needs of an English or French classroom. The participants will also be given an opportunity to explore invitations for learning to enrich learning experiences as it relates to the curriculum and a comprehensive literacy program.
